Hi!

I’m Driscoll Callan. I’m a 2025 graduate of Barnard College where I majored in (drumroll please) English! Literature, that is. I spent a lot of time with Jane Austen (like, a lot of time), but also with Milton and Woolf and Sebald. Okay, I’ll stop pretentiously throwing names your way. Essentially, I read many books and had many discussions and wrote many papers. And now I am here, in the “real” world, figuring out what I should do with myself for the next 80-some-odd years (I’m thinking optimistically). I’ll probably update this bio once I get closer to figuring it out ... But for now, stay awhile! Ideation and self-creation are in progress ….

Every personal website seems to have a photo of the person whose website it is. Which makes sense. Having scrolled through my camera roll, however, it seems that the most recent(ish) photo I have of myself is one in which I’m holding a fig branch. Do what you will with that information. Other than that, I only have photos taken by my dad and those were shown to me against my will so they most certainly will not be displayed here. In lieu of a headshot, enjoy this photograph of me as a child—dressed most appropriately for the beach.
